As outlined in the governing legislation (The Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists Act, SS 1990-1991, cS-56), the College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Saskatchewan is authorized to establish, maintain, and enforce standards of practice and a code of ethics for its registrants. Following extensive research and consultation, the CSASK Standards of Practice were approved by CSASK Council on July 21, 2026. The standards are a foundational document that establishes a benchmark for the minimum level of professional performance and competent, safe, and ethical practice of audiology and speech-language pathology across Saskatchewan. The standards:

• broadly apply to all practice settings and areas of practice.
• guide decision making and support professional judgement when addressing professional practice issues.
• serve as a reference for the public regarding the quality of care and professional conduct to be expected from audiologists and speech-language pathologists in Saskatchewan, thereby promoting the delivery of safe and ethical care.

In accordance with the CSASK Regulatory Bylaws, registrants must comply with established audiology and speech-language pathology standards and guidelines.
