The Registration and Licensing committee evaluates applications for registration for various categories of licensure and makes recommendations to the council with respect to requirements for licence to practise.
The Legislation and Bylaws committee monitors federal, provincial, and municipal legislation affecting speech- language pathology and audiology and makes recommendations to the council for action when required, reviews the Act and bylaws of the association and makes recommendations to the council regarding necessary changes and upon the direction of the council, drafts changes in the Act and bylaws.
The professional conduct committee members, a majority of whom are CSASK members, are appointed by the council. The Professional Conduct Committee receives and investigates complaints from the public or upon request from Council to consider a complaint that a member is guilty of professional misconduct or professional incompetence.
The discipline committee members are appointed by the council. Upon receipt of the Professional Conduct Committee’s report, the Discipline Committee hears the complaint and determines whether (or not) the member is guilty of professional misconduct or professional incompetence.
